Apple Health
Connect Apple Health to sync your iOS health data with HAID.
Apple Health integration lets you sync health data from your iPhone, Apple Watch, and other connected devices.
How to Integrate
- Open HAID on your iPhone
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Tap Apple Health
- Select the data types you want to share (we recommend enabling all for the best experience)
- Tap Allow
When connecting, iOS will ask which data types to share. You can choose to share all or only specific types. You can change these permissions later in the iOS Settings app under Health → Data Access.
Supported Data Types
- Steps — Daily step counts
- Sleep — Sleep duration and stages
- Heart Rate — Resting and active heart rate
- Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — Recovery and stress indicators
- Active Energy — Calories burned through activity
- Workouts — Recorded exercises and activities
- Body Measurements — Weight, BMI, body fat percentage, lean body mass, waist circumference, and height (great for smart scale sync)
Sync Frequency
- On app open — Data syncs automatically when you open HAID
- Background sync — Runs periodically throughout the day when enabled
- Manual sync — Pull down on the home screen to trigger a sync
- Historical data — We backfill up to 2 years of data when you first connect
Limitations
- iOS only — Apple Health is not available on Android devices
- Permissions required — You must grant HAID permission to read each data type
- Background refresh — Must be enabled in iOS settings for automatic syncing
- Third-party data — Workouts from other apps must be shared with Apple Health first
Workaround for Limitations
Android users: Consider using Google Fit, Garmin, or Polar instead.
Missing historical data: If you have data older than 2 years that you'd like imported, you can export it and send it to us:
- Export your data from Apple Health (Settings → Health → Export Health Data)
- Email the exported file to [email protected] from the email address associated with your HAID account
- We'll backfill the data for you
We accept FIT, TCX, and GPX file formats.
