Google Fit
Connect Google Fit to sync your Android health data with HAID.
Google Fit integration lets you sync health data from your Android device and connected wearables.
How to Integrate
- Open HAID on your Android device
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Tap Google Fit
- Sign in with your Google account
- Grant the requested permissions (we recommend enabling all for the best experience)
HAID requests read-only access to your Google Fit data. We never write data to your Google Fit account.
Supported Data Types
- Steps — Daily step counts
- Sleep — Sleep duration (if tracked by your device)
- Heart Rate — Heart rate data from compatible wearables
- Active Energy — Calories burned through activity
- Workouts — Recorded activities
- Body Measurements — Weight and lean body mass (great for smart scale sync)
Sync Frequency
- On app open — Data syncs automatically when you open HAID
- Background sync — Runs periodically throughout the day
- Manual sync — Pull down on the home screen to trigger a sync
Limitations
- Android only — Google Fit integration is not available on iOS
- Wearable required — Some data types (heart rate, sleep) require a compatible wearable
- Sleep tracking — May need to be enabled manually in Google Fit settings
- Data availability — Depends on what your connected devices track
Workaround for Limitations
iOS users: Consider using Apple Health instead.
Missing data types: If Google Fit doesn't track certain metrics, consider connecting a wearable that does, or use a direct integration like Garmin or Polar.
