Polar

Polar integration lets you sync fitness and recovery data from your Polar wearable devices through Polar Flow.

How to Integrate

1. Open HAID on your device
2. Go to Settings → Integrations
3. Tap Polar
4. Sign in to your Polar Flow account
5. Authorize HAID to access your data

Supported Data Types

• Exercises — All recorded workouts with heart rate data
• Sleep — Sleep duration, stages (light, deep, REM), and sleep score
• Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — Via Nightly Recharge feature
• Continuous Heart Rate — All-day heart rate tracking
• Activity Summaries — Daily steps, calories, and activity goals
• Recovery Metrics — ANS charge, recovery indicators

Sync Frequency

• Real-time — Data syncs automatically via webhooks as soon as Polar Flow processes it
• Typical delay — A few minutes after your Polar device syncs to Polar Flow
• Historical health data — We backfill up to 30 days when you first connect
• Historical activities — Only activities recorded after you connect are synced

Limitations

• Polar Flow account required — You must have a Polar Flow account
• 30-day health data limit — We can only access the last 30 days of health metrics when you first connect
• Activities from connection date — Historical activities before you connect are not available through the API
• Device features — Some data types require specific Polar devices (e.g., Nightly Recharge requires compatible watches)
• Device sync required — Your Polar device must sync to Polar Flow for data to reach HAID

Workaround for Limitations

Need historical activities? You can export older data and send it to us:

1. Go to Polar Flow (flow.polar.com)
2. Navigate to your training diary and export activities
3. Email the exported files to [email protected] from the email address associated with your HAID account
4. We'll backfill the data for you

We accept FIT, TCX, and GPX file formats.

Missing Nightly Recharge or sleep data? These features require compatible Polar devices (like Ignite, Vantage, or Grit X series). Check if your device supports these features in Polar Flow.
