Hot August Night Trail Race
The Hot August Night Trail Race is a night trail race taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the Citrus Tract of the Withlacoochee Forest. Choose from 5, 10, or 20 mile distances. The race starts and ends at Holder Mine Campground in Inverness, FL. Headlamps/flashlights are required.
Race Details:
- The course is marked with reflective pins and glow sticks.
- It's entirely on single-track trails.
- The trails are packed sand or pine-needle covered, with gentle ups and downs.
- Participants cross a timing mat at the completion of each loop.
Packet Pickup: 5pm - 7:25pm
Race Start Times:
- 20 Mile Race: 6:00PM EDT
- 10 Mile Race: 7:00PM EDT
- 5 Mile Race: 7:30PM EDT
Course Closes: 11:00PM EDT
Aid Stations:
- 5-mile loop: Hydration station (approx 2.4 miles), aid station at the finish line, post-race picnic.
- 10-mile loop: Hydration station & staffed aid station, aid station at the finish line, post-race picnic.
- 20-mile loop: Two 10-mile loops!
Camping: RV and tent sites available at Holder Mine Campground.
Every finisher receives a handcrafted medal.
