TGA Consulting Bridges of the Tyne 5 Mile Road Race
Tyne Bridge Harriers’ hugely popular race returns to Newcastle Quayside in 2026. It’s a fast, mainly flat, out & back 5 mile course along the quayside passing the iconic bridges of the Tyne.
Entry is £24 (+online booking fee) per runner with a £2 reduction for UKA members. Minimum age for entry is 15 on the day of the race. Race HQ and registration is at The Tyne Bar on Maling Street, with registration beginning from 5:30 pm and closing at 6:45 pm. The race starts and finishes on Newcastle’s historic Quayside passing seven of the river’s iconic bridges.
Kevin Cheetham Trophy
Clubs will again be competing for the fantastic Kevin Cheetham Trophy. This is awarded to the club who have lowest combined finish places* for their first senior male, senior female, veteran male (V40) and veteran female (V40) athletes.

Tyne Bridge Harriers are introducing a fast, flat out & back 1 mile course along the quayside this year.
Entry is £12 (+online booking fee) per runner with a £2 reduction for UKA members. Minimum age for entry is 10 on the day of the race. Maximum age for entry is 14 on the day of the race. Race HQ and registration is at the start of the race at The Malmo Quay beginning from 5:30 pm and closing at 6:15pm.
Start times: 18:30: 13 & 14 year olds, 18:35: 10, 11 & 12 year olds. Prizes will be awarded to male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each race. All entrants will receive a commemorative medal.
