Race for Life Newcastle: Town Moor, 12 July 2026
Race for Life Newcastle is an event organised by Cancer Research UK at Town Moor, near Exhibition Park in Newcastle. The event is open to people aged 16 and over. Entry fees are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. The events are chip-timed.
Available distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- 3k
The start and finish are on grass. The course is flat and runs on mixed terrain, including paths, road and small sections on grass. The 10k course is a double lap of the 5k course. A course map will be published closer to the event.
Facilities at the main event site include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed. The site is suitable for pushchairs and has some wheelchair access, though the course uses paths surfaced with large stones that create uneven sections and some grassy areas that may be muddy. The event is recommended as suitable for wheelchair users with assistance; the course can be adapted to avoid grass sections.
Transport notes: no event parking is provided on site; limited roadside parking is available on Claremont Road and drop-off access is at the entrance to Exhibition Park. Support measures on site include Sunflower wristbands, Event Managers trained as Dementia Friends, and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support, community access and a Race for Life medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
