AJ Bell Great Manchester Run
The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run on 23 May 2027 offers city centre road races over two distances and attracts tens of thousands of participants. The event includes live music, entertainment zones along the course and strong local spectator support.
Age Restrictions:
- 10k open to runners aged 15 and over
- Half marathon open to runners aged 17 and over
Super Earlybird entries for 2027 are open. Published entry fees show the 10k Super Earlybird at £41 and final entries at £51, and the half marathon Super Earlybird at £49 and final entries at £59. The 10k and half marathon start on Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street and finish on Deansgate.
The half marathon route begins with a moderate incline and finishes with some downhill running. The 10k route features some downhill near the start and a short incline toward the end. Course maps and entertainment locations are available, and the route is subject to change.
Race numbers containing timing chips are normally posted about four weeks before the event; entries made on or after 20 May and overseas entries require collection at the event information point. Baggage drop is located in Exchange Hall at Manchester Central. A rolling programme of road closures begins early on the day and roads are reopened in phases, with all expected to reopen by 19:00.
Finishers receive a Great Manchester Run medal, there is an optional finishers t shirt and a finisher bag. Official event photos and results are available after the race, with live tracking and results accessible via the event app. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
