Course Description
The race begins with 15 flat miles along the Taunton to Bridgwater Canal Path, followed by the River Parrett Trail which becomes more uneven. Participants will pass through Steart Marshes, navigate a diversion around Hinkley Point Power Station, and pass the limestone formations of Lilstock and Kilve beaches before heading inland. The route continues through pine forest, over fields to Williton, and down to Watchet harbour. The final section involves the coast path to Blue Anchor, a rocky beach section, and then a cycle path to the finish in Minehead.
Course Markings
Markings (red & white tape) will be present on the inland section between Kilve and Watchet, and around Hinkley Point. The canal path, river parrett trail, and coast path are considered easy to follow and will not be marked. A GPX file will be provided.
Medical Support
Professional medics will be present. Details for medical support contact will be provided in the race information sent before the event. Emergency situations should be reported by calling 999.
Coach Transport
Coach transport is available from the finish in Minehead to registration in Taunton for an additional cost of £3.
