Race for Life Taunton

The start and finish are on grass. The course runs mainly on gravel paths with mixed terrain and gentle slopes, and it passes through Longrun Meadow with views across Taunton. The meeting point is on the Castle School playing field beside the cricket pitch opposite the Castle Sports Centre.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and showers. There is cycle parking at the venue; vehicle parking is limited and the nearest general parking and volunteer parking are accessed via the Heron Drive entrance, within about 500 m. Blue Badge parking is available within about 400 m. Public transport options include local bus services and Taunton rail station, which is roughly a 20 minute walk.
The route is wheelchair accessible with assistance but can become boggy and uneven in poor weather. Two narrower bridges on part of the 10k route may be unsuitable for wider mobility vehicles. Sunflower wristbands, dementia-aware staff and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content are available on the day.
Entry fees and fundraising information are published for the event; listed prices include £17.49 and £11.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.
