Swashbuckler On Tour Triathlon
Sunday 5th July 2026 | Moyles Court School
The Award-Winning Swashbuckler, usually dropping anchor at Buckler’s Hard, is setting sail on tour in 2026!
Due to an unusually limited number of high tides between May and September, we haven’t been able to secure a date for the Swashbuckler at Buckler’s Hard in 2026. The only two possible dates unfortunately clashed with the venue.
But fear not, me hearties! We’re giving you another golden chance to take part in a spectacular triathlon in the stunning New Forest. These events have been selling out faster than a barrel of rum at port over the last couple of years — so we know you’ll love it!
With a swim in the beautiful Ellingham Waterski Lake, a bike ride through the gorgeous New Forest with its wild ponies and horses, and finishing with a typically New Forest run on quiet country roads.
Distances to suit all, bring the family to enjoy the great atmosphere and event village. Choose from a middle distance, standard or sprint distance triathlon. We also have an aquabike and duathlon option if you don't fancy all three disciplines or grab a couple of mates and take on the relay option.
Distances:
- Middle Distance Triathlon: Swim 1.9km (2 laps of Ellingham Water Ski Lake), transition run 1km, cycle 90km, run 20km
- RELAY teams accepted of 2 to 3 people
- Standard Triathlon: 1.1km swim, transition run 1km, cycle 33km, run 10km
- Sprint: 400m swim, transition run 1km, cycle 33km, 5km run
- Aquabike: 1900m swim, 90km bike (your transition will be at Ellingham Lake so no transition run!)
- Duathlon: 5km run, 33km bike, 5km Run
Great for spectators with a super event village providing coffee, pizza, mechanic, post event massage, kids fun stuff. Awesome medal, finishers t-shirt and post event food!

Marshalling: Sign up HERE to help out. Volunteers take on many important tasks, from car parking, helping on registration, marshalling out on the course to running a water stop. Each event is different but you will have a dedicated manager to brief you on your duties and look after you throughout the day. Timings will vary from event to event. We will provide you with a high visibility vest so that you are seen to be part of our event. And as a thank you, we will send you a free entry code to use against any of our events. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our Challenging Events family!
