Altra Sunset Wattenmeer // 29./30. August 2026
The Altra Sunset Wattenmeer is a unique running event taking place in Hamburg, Germany, on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, 2026. This event is designed for teams, offering a challenging and collaborative running experience.
Participant Eligibility
- Participants must be born in 2010 or later.
- For Ultra-Team participation, participants must be born in 2008 or later.
Team Sizes and Categories
Three team sizes are available:
- 10er Teams: Consist of 10 runners, with each member covering 3 course sections.
- Ultra (5er) Teams: Comprise 5 runners, with each member covering 6 course sections.
- 5 Pack Teams: These teams are paired with another 5 Pack Team of similar experience to form a 10-person team, where each member covers 3 course sections.
Team classes are automatically assigned based on individual team member registrations and include:
- Men / Women / Divers / Mixed
- Company Teams (minimum 7 runners from the same company for 10er Teams, minimum 3 for Ultra Teams)
Registration
Team registration is initiated by the Team Captain via the official website (sunset-series.de). Individual team members then register using a unique team link. Team vehicles must be self-organized (2 vans for 10er Teams, 1 van for 5er Teams).
Registration Deadlines and Fees
The registration deadline is Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 23:59.
10er Team Fees:
- €1,100.00 (until 31.10.2025)
- €1,300.00 (until 31.01.2026)
- €1,400.00 (until 31.05.2026)
- €1,500.00 (until 02.08.2026)
Ultra (5er) Team Fees:
- €650.00 (until 31.10.2025)
- €750.00 (until 31.01.2026)
- €850.00 (until 31.05.2026)
- €950.00 (until 02.08.2026)
5 Pack Team Fees:
- €600.00 (until 31.10.2025)
- €700.00 (until 31.01.2026)
- €750.00 (until 31.05.2026)
- €800.00 (until 03.08.2026)
Timing and Awards
Timing is done using a chip that must be worn by the active team member and passed during transitions. Teams can be tracked live. While there is no official award ceremony, every team is celebrated at the finish line, and all participants receive a medal and a t-shirt at the start. Certificates are available for each team at the finish line.
