Sport In Action 10K
The Sport In Action 10K is an officially measured and certified 10 km course held on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The route combines park paths and quiet country roads, generally flat or gently undulating.
Race Information:
- Course Records: Male - Mark Emmerson (00:32:52), Female - Lisa Finlay (00:37:39)
- Registration: 08:40 – 09:40 on race day. Race numbers and timing chips will be issued then.
- Risk Assessment: A full course risk assessment, route maps, race permit, and measurement certificate will be displayed at the event HQ.
- Race Safety Briefing: At the start line at 09:50am.
- Course: The 10km route uses mainly park paths and quiet country roads. Athletes should be aware of traffic and follow marshal instructions. The finish is near the start line.
- Prizes: Overall Male & Female 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Age Group Male & Female prizes awarded based on competitor numbers (1-17: 1st only; 18-27: 1st & 2nd; 28+: 1st, 2nd & 3rd). Age group prizes roll down if overall winners also win age group categories.
- Withdrawals Policy: Refunds with a 50% charge are available up to August 20th, 2025. No refunds after this date.
