Sokolský běh republiky – Bystřice nad Pernštejnem
The Sokolský běh republiky in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem will take place on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. This event is organized in connection with the opening of the new Sokolovna in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem.
Main Race
Distance: 7.3 km
The race starts at the new Sokolovna, proceeds downhill to the river, then ascends along the Lužánky Fairy Tale Trail towards the Park of Miniatures and the Eden Entertainment Center. Participants will run through the center's grounds and then use the cycle path to reach the Bystřice airfield. After running across the grass, the route descends via a field path into the Domanínek part of town, returning via the cycle path and the town swimming pool to the finish at the Sokolovna.
Children's Race
- 1.6 km: For participants born between 2012 - 2016. Starts at the new Sokolovna, runs down to the river, and follows its banks back and forth (mostly on a cycle path, partly on a grass path) to complete the loop. Returns to the finish at the Sokolovna via the asphalt road through the swimming pool.
- 570 m: For participants born in 2017 and younger. Starts at the new Sokolovna, runs along Tyršova Street, then Dr. Veselého Street on the sidewalk, turning towards T.G. Masaryk Primary School and returning through the school park to the finish at the Sokolovna.

- 12:00 - 13:00: Collection of main race numbers
- 12:15: Start of the 570 m children's race
- 12:35: Start of the 1.6 km children's race
- 13:15: Award ceremony for children's races
- 13:40: Warm-up for the main race
- 14:00: Start of the main race
- 15:30: Award ceremony for the main race
Participant Information
Each participant receives a starting package with a race number and gifts from organizers and partners. A medal shaped like the Czech Republic awaits finishers.
Facilities
The newly built Sokolovna building provides restrooms, changing rooms, and toilets. Refreshments will be available for all participants at the finish line.
Parking
Tyršova Street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the race. Parking is available near the Sokolovna on Příční Street and at the sports hall (Dr. Veselého Street). Additional parking can be found within a few hundred meters at the Cultural House (Luční Street) and in Masarykovo Square.
