About the Race
Founded in 1980 by climbers Pete and Piki, the Ádrkros is the biggest sporting battle on the cross-country running field between climbers and civilians. It was conceived as a response and renewal to the dwindling final rappels in Adršpach and a recommendation for orthodox rock climbers as a supplementary sport instead of the second phase of climbing in the evening pub. The course evolved from a 3 km rocky circuit to its current 9 km form.
Over time, some orthodox rock climbers and other climbers have become top athletes in other disciplines, competing for victory among amateur and professional civilians.
Therefore, let's head to Ádrkros, a traditional informal gathering of climbers, civilians, friends, and supporters of mountaineering.
The next Ádrkros will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Zámecká near Adršpach Castle.
