Race for Life Preston 10k
This Race for Life event takes place in Avenham and Miller Park in Preston. The meeting point and both the start and finish are located in Avenham Park, in front of the Pavilion Cafe.
The route runs through Miller Park and Frenchwood Recreational Ground on a mix of surfaced paths and grass. Gentle undulations are present and the River Ribble runs alongside parts of the course. The 10k is a double lap of the 5k route. The course includes mostly tarmac and hardstanding paths and around 1 km on grass in the recreational ground. There may be congestion on the two way section between Frenchwood Recreational Ground and Avenham Park.

The event uses chip timing. Available on-site facilities include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and showers. Dogs are allowed and the course is suitable for pushchairs. There is no designated event parking and public pay and display car parks are the usual option. Limited cycle parking is available at the Pavilion Cafe. The event is not wheelchair accessible. Organiser information lists a minimum fundraising target of £50 and earlybird entry fees shown as £8.74 for ages 16 and over and £5.50 for children.
