Harvest Run Red Deer
The Harvest Run is a community-based running event held in Red Deer, Alberta. Established in 1991 by the Red Deer Runners, the event began as a small local run and has since grown to include over 350 participants. It is managed by a dedicated volunteer committee and supported by local community members.
The 2026 edition represents the 34th year of the event. The run takes place at a new location in Capstone, offering a family-friendly environment for participants in Central Alberta.
Participants in the event receive t-shirts and medals. Following the race, the organizers provide access to photos and timing results. The event is supported by various local sponsors and includes a bursary program. Registration for the upcoming session typically opens early in the year for the scheduled September date. The Red Deer Harvest Run is organized by a volunteer committee, and is hosted by the Red Deer Runners. The committee was formed with the very first Harvest Run, in 1991.
