Durham City Run Festival: 16 to 18 July 2026
Events of the North, in partnership with Durham County Council, presents the 10th anniversary Durham City Run Festival in mid July 2026. The programme brings night-time city running and community events to Durham city centre across three days.
The festival features city-centre road races that return for 2026, offering an evening run that passes several historic landmarks. Finishers receive a medal and a goody bag. Entries are open for the 2026 event.

Paula's Families on Track is scheduled for Saturday 18 July as a team relay aimed at involving family members in different lap lengths, with fancy dress and family-oriented activities.
The festival opening includes a film screening and a live podcast special titled "Paula Radcliffe: Chasing Stars," a documentary that follows the subject's journey to complete all six Abbott World Marathon Majors.
