Acronyms Tamar 10k
The Acronyms Tamar 10k is a road race scheduled for Sunday 18th October 2026 in Plymouth. The event uses a measured course of 10 km that crosses the Tamar Bridge. The race starts at Marine Academy Plymouth and finishes at Kawasaki, with an event village hosted by Kawasaki Precision Machinery.
The field is limited to around 1,000 participants. The minimum age to enter is 15 years. All finishers receive a finishers medal and a finishers T-shirt, or they can choose an option to plant a tree instead.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers, with one prize per athlete. Age category prizes are offered for VO40 through VO75 for both men and women. A first junior male and female prize is available for under 20 athletes. Individual winners receive free entry to the following year’s Acronyms Tamar 10k.
A team prize is decided by the cumulative finish positions of the first three scoring athletes from each team. The winning team will have £150 donated to a charity of their choice. Prize Categories
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female (only one prize per athlete will be awarded)
- VO40, VO45, VO50, VO55, VO60, VO65, VO70, VO75 male and female.
- 1st Junior male/female – U20.
- All individual winners will receive free entry next year's Acronyms Tamar 10k.
Team Prize
Team Prize will be awarded on accumulative finish positions of the first three athletes to count. The winning team will have £150 donated to a charity of their choice.
