This brand new road closed event starts and finishes at Queensway Stadium, offering a scenic route that feels close to the countryside while staying within walking distance of Wrexham city centre.
The event is organised by Active Leisure Events, the team behind the award-winning Chester events, and now bringing this exciting new race to life in Wrexham.

Route information
The 2027 Wrexham 10K, provisionally on 19th September 2027, will be the inaugural running of this race, brought to you by the award winning organisers of the Chester 10K, Half and Marathon.
The event is within easy walking distance of the city centre, with a start and finish at Queensway Athletics Stadium, a route that takes in the surrounding Welsh countryside and tons of support to cheer you on.
The new Wrexham 10K and Wrexham Half Marathon earlier in February 2027, promise to bring the same world-class organisation, vibrant atmosphere, and premium finisher experience that has made the Chester Triple Series a sell-out success and a three-time winner of the UK's Best Marathon award. Runners of all abilities are welcome.

PARKING/TRAVEL
There will be no event parking on site at Queensway Stadium. There are plenty of parking options in the city centre, approximately a 15 minute walk from the event village. We recommend using parkopedia.com and planning your journey in advance.

Please note there is a 90 minute cut-off on this race due to road closures in place
MINIMUM AGES

BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff, and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
There will be portable toilets within the event village and approximately halfway along the course.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be water provided approximately every 5km on the course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.
