Race for Life Wrexham 10k
The event takes place at Alyn Waters Country Park (Llay Side) in Wrexham and is organised by Cancer Research UK. The 10 km route is two laps of a 5 km course. Each lap starts with about 2 km on grass and then continues on gravel woodland paths. The course is mainly flat with one or two very small sharp climbs in the woods. The event is chip timed.

The meeting point for start and finish is on the main field next to the event car park, which is on the right when entering through the main gates. There is free general parking, free drop off and free Blue Badge parking; there are no electric charging points and no bike storage facilities. Bus route 33 stops at Llay Cemetery about 0.2 miles from the site. The nearest train station is Gwersyllt, about 1.6 miles away.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not wheelchair accessible because of extended grass sections and is not suitable for pushchairs. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends, and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
