Wentworth Castle Gardens Trail Runs – Wednesday 16th June 2027
We are super excited to return to the stunning Wentworth Castle Gardens in Barnsley for an evening of 5km and 10km Trail Runs on Wednesday 16th June 2027!
This mid-week event is perfect for a scenic training run or relaxed race, with exclusive access to the venue in the evening. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned trail runner, this event is not to be missed.
Event Schedule:
- 5km Trail Run – 7:10 PM
- 10km Trail Run – 7:00 PM
Start times are approximate and may be subject to change.
Distances
- 5km Trail Run - Great for beginners and younger runners (Age 11+)
- 10km Trail Run - A scenic challenge for runners aged 15+

Canicross Friendly
This is a Canicross-friendly event! One controlled dog per runner is allowed. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
About the Venue
Wentworth Castle Gardens is South Yorkshire’s only Grade I registered landscape, featuring 500 acres of rolling parkland, historic landmarks, ancient woodlands, and breathtaking views. A unique chance to run among gothic turrets, monuments, and formal gardens.

Live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North. Instant and accurate race results.
The Finish Line
All finishers will receive: Medal, Merchandise item, Snack & Drink.
