Barnsley 10K 2026
The Barnsley 10K is a road race through Barnsley town centre organised by the Sport and Physical Activity Team at Barnsley Council. The course covers 10 kilometres, follows public roads that will be fully closed for the event, and is a single lap with an undulating profile. The race holds a licence number 31132 and the course is stated as suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry to the event was limited to 2000 places and the field is currently full. Entry fees were listed as £27.50 for affiliated runners and £29.50 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is not available. The event has previously recorded over 3000 finishers across earlier editions.
All finishers receive a commemorative t-shirt and free finisher photos. Prize awards are provided for the first three male and first three female finishers, plus first male and female in age categories V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70 plus. Places may be transferred free of charge to another runner until Sunday 14 June 2026 via the link supplied on confirmation. Refunds are permitted up to 28 days before race day subject to a transaction charge; deferral to the following year is not offered.
