The Pemby Pounder Trail Run
“Your adventure begins here” at the base of majestic Mount Currie. The Pemby Pounder is an exhilarating trail run race located in Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada that pounds the heart on the way up and the legs on the way down. Known for its challenging terrain and breathtaking views, this trail run offers an unforgettable experience for any trail runner. Characterized by its steep climbs, technical descents, and varied landscapes, ranging from old growth forests to rugged alpine vistas and views to the valley floor. With its combination of natural beauty, heart pounding ascents and leg pounding descents, the Pemby Pounder is a must-run for anyone looking to experience the best of Pemberton’s Mackenzie trail network.
For 2026 we now offer three trail race options:
- The new truly epic 42km Trail Marathon aka 'The Full Pounder'
- The 'The Half Pounder', a challenging 22km route that rewards runners with incredible views
- For those who want to dip their toes into trail running or want a short but sweet version, we have a fun 9km, 'The Quarter Pounder'.
Youth pricing is available for those under 18 (age as of end of 2026) for the 22K and 9K events.
Entry includes:
- Unique custom run socks
- Trail marathoners also receive a custom beer glass
- Unique finishers medal
- $5 from every entry goes to Pemberton Valley Trails Association (PVTA)
- Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall and 1st Masters (50+) for Male & Female
