The Charnwood Challenge 2026
The Charnwood Challenge is an off-road event for runners and walkers held in the Charnwood countryside near Loughborough. The event is based at Nanpantan Scout Group HQ on Nanpantan Road, LE11 3YE, and is organised by Nanpantan Scouts. The main course covers approximately ten miles through countryside terrain.
Available courses include:
- 10 Mile Run - Adult (16 years or older)
- 10 Mile Walk - Adult (16 years or older)
- 10 Mile Walk - Junior (10 to 15 years old, must be accompanied by an adult)
- 1 Mile Junior Challenge - Fun Run, open to all ages
Entry is managed through SiEntries. Entries open on 8 June 2026 and close on 4 October 2026. Entry fees vary by category and by membership status; the junior fun run has a £4 entry on the day at the event headquarters. Age limits are set relative to the event date: running and adult walking require age 16 or older, junior walking is for ages 10 to 15 when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
