MTC REDCAP - Mount to Coast End to End Challenge
The MTC REDCAP is a new ultramarathon for 2028, covering 55.1 miles in a single day. This challenging route starts at the Gretna Chase Hotel in Gretna and finishes at the Traquair Arms Hotel in Innerleithen, Scotland.
This event is also designated as Day 1 of the nine-day MTC SCOTIA end-to-end challenge across Scotland. Competitors in the MTC SCOTIA multi-day race will also be participating, adding to the unique atmosphere.
All finishers will receive a bespoke REDCAP medal. For those looking to enhance their race experience, there are options to upgrade entry at checkout to include the official race t-shirt and a hi-viz jacket.
The race route includes four checkpoints at Lockerbie, Langholm, and two locations near Selkirk. Organizers have set cut-off times based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 miles per hour, and participants falling below this pace may be withdrawn.
