Race Details
Help us finish the 20th Year of the Le Tour de Carrboro three race series. The Gallop & Gorge 8K starts at 8 AM on Weaver Street in downtown Carrboro. This 8K race (4.94 miles) is a fun way to enjoy the holiday season while giving back!
Course Information
The course winds through the beautiful neighborhoods of Carrboro, starting and finishing on Weaver Street, in front of the Weaver Street Market. This is a USATF certified 8K course.
Registration and Bib Pickup
Online registration will close on November 26, 2024. In-person registration and bib pickup will be available at Fleet Feet in Carrboro on:
- Tuesday, November 26, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Wednesday, November 27, from 12 PM to 6:30 PM
- Race day morning from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers in several age categories. Also, unique pottery awards will be presented by local artists.
Parking
Please plan to arrive early for parking. Avoid parking in the Carr Mill parking lots as you may be towed. Free public parking locations include:
- Municipal Parking Deck next to Hampton Inn
- An accessed Gravel Parking Lot behind the Municipal Parking Deck
- Various Municipal Parking Lots around downtown Carrboro
Food Donations
Consider bringing non-perishable food items to benefit the InterFaith Council Community Market. Collection boxes will be available at bib pickup and race day.
