Gallop & Gorge 8K

Registration and Bib Pickup
In-person registration and bib pickup will be available at Fleet Feet in Carrboro on:
- Tuesday, November 24, from 3:30-6:30 pm
- Wednesday, November 25, from 12-6:30 pm
You may also pick up your bib and register on race day morning at Fleet Feet in Carrboro, 6:30-7:45 am.
IMPORTANT! In person registration on Tuesday, Wednesday or Race Day will be done electronically by scanning a QR code which will take you to the registration form that you will fill out on your phone. So, please bring your smart phone and credit card if you are registering in person.
Race entries are not refundable and are not transferable.
Course
The course starts and finishes on Weaver Street, in front of the Weaver Street Market in downtown Carrboro. This is a USATF certified 8K course.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female winners in various categories including Open, Masters, age groups, Athena, and Clydesdale. Unique pottery awards crafted by local artist, Janet Resnik. Overall and top age group winners will also receive specially blended coffee from Carrboro Coffee Roasters.
Course Record Bonus: $50 is yours if you can beat the Gallop & Gorge 8K overall records!

Little Turkey Kids Races
FREE for children aged 2-9, held on the Libba Cotten Bikeway behind the Fleet Feet building after the race awards presentation. Races will be split by age groups.
Stroller and Pet Policy
Baby strollers and joggers are permitted, but please start at the back. Pets are not allowed on the race course.
Walkers are Welcome!
Walkers are encouraged. If the trailing police car passes you, you must follow normal pedestrian rules.
Food Donations for IFC Community Market
Consider donating non-perishable food items. Collection boxes will be available at bib pickup and race morning.
