FORGED 48 - 4X4X48
This is a unique endurance challenge designed to test your limits. The event involves running 4 miles every 4 hours for 44 hours, culminating in a total of 48 miles. The challenge begins on April 24, 2026, at 8:00 PM PT and concludes on April 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM PT.
Mission: Become Forged - Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually. It's an invitation to train for adversity, define resilience, and find hope.
Course Description
Participants will run 4-mile routes at various trailheads within Riverside State Park during daylight hours and at Reardan Cross Country Track during hours of darkness. Specific routes will be briefed prior to each iteration.
Aid Stations
Food, water, and electrolytes will be available prior to each iteration.
Required Gear/Recommendations
- Discover Pass for the duration of the challenge.
- Headlamp/Batteries.
- Preferred running gear that will last 48 hours (socks, shirts, shorts, shoes, leggings, running vest).
- Recommendations: Warming layers, rain gear, beanie, puffy jacket.
Packet Pick-up/Pre-Race Brief
- Packet Pick-up: April 23, 5-7 PM @ Kendall Yards Fleet Feet; April 24, 6-7:45 PM @ Race Location.

Self-Sufficiency
Participants should be prepared to be self-sufficient between iterations, including sleeping and eating. Camping is available at the main staging area (Reardan Cross Country Track) or participants may rent a hotel or camp in their car.
Considerations
Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking at some trailheads within Riverside State Park.
