Electric 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
RUN IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS OF SPECTATORS at DUSK!!!! STAY FOR THE ELECTRIC LIGHT PARADE! The Official Las Cruces Electric 5k is volunteer-produced by runners for runners!!! Runners enjoy T-shirts, Race swag, and Age Group Awards separate from Top 3 Overall. This is a Closed Course Race!!!
Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there is an event for everyone. Our Electric 5k offers 2 events: a 1-mile and a 5k. Portions of proceeds from the registration will be put towards the LCRC Summer youth Program, a series of 1-mile fun runs free to kids 14 and under, and donations to Dona Ana area high school cross-country programs!

- $5 per person discount for groups of four or more runners who register at the same time.
- Free 1 Mile Youth runners cannot register with a group to obtain a group discount.
Location of Events
All races begin and end on W Hadley Ave across from the Meerscheidt Center. Our 5k runs South on W Hadley Ave to Solano, north to Madrid, making a U-turn before the Apodaca Baseball field, and retraces back to the finish line. The street will be lined with thousands of spectators waiting to watch the Las Cruces Electric Parade. With less than 10ft of elevation gain, this is our flattest race, creating the perfect conditions for you to run your fastest time.
Start and Finish Times
- 1mile: 7:30 p.m. (chip timing)
- 5k: 8:00 p.m. (chip timing)
- *Racecourse will close at 9:30 pm for all events
Give Aways
- Free Participants will receive a Bib
- Paid participants will receive a Bib, t-shirt (not guaranteed after 6/12)
Awards
- 5k Overall Top 3 Female/Male: 1st-3rd
- Top 3 Age group Male/Female (top runners removed)
- 1mile 1-14 Age Group Overall 1st-3rd
- 15+ Age Group Overall 1st-3rd
- *Awards will be based on chip timing.

Paz Baseball fields and Las Cruces Skating Park Parking lot off W Hadley. Enter from 1000 W Walnut St as Hadley may be closed.
