Electric 5k Race

Description: RUN IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS OF SPECTATORS at DUSK! The Electric 5k is produced by runners for runners and is the only event in the Southwest to run before a parade. Participants receive a Tech Shirt, Race swag, and Age Group Awards. This is a Closed Course Race.
Events:
- Electric 5k: Price: $30. Time: 8:00 PM MDT - 9:00 PM MDT.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: Price: $30. Time: 7:30 PM MDT - 7:50 PM MDT. Free for runners age 14 and under.
Pricing Note: Prices increase after May 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM MDT. $5 per person discount for groups of four or more runners who register at the same time. Free 1 Mile Youth runners cannot register with a group to obtain the group discount.
Course Details: All races begin and end on W Hadley Ave across from the Meerscheidt Center. The 5k runs South on W Hadley Ave to Solano, North to Madrid, making a U-turn before the Apodaca Baseball field and retracing back to the finish line. Elevation gain is less than 10ft.
Start and Finish Times:
- 1 Mile: 7:30 p.m. (chip timing)
- 5K: 8:00 p.m. (chip timing)
Awards: 5K Overall Top 3 Female/Male, Top 3 Age group Male/Female. 1 Mile 1-14 Age Group Overall 1st-3rd, 15+ Age Group Overall 1st-3rd.
Giveaways: Paid participants receive a Bib and t-shirt (not guaranteed after 6/12). Free participants receive a Bib.
Timing System: RFID chip timing system with camera backup.
