Colchester Half Marathon: Sunday 14 March 2027
The Colchester Half Marathon is a community road race organised by the local charity The Robin Cancer Trust. The event covers 13.1 miles and starts and finishes at the JobServe Community Stadium. The route passes through Colchester city centre, by several local landmarks, and then continues into the surrounding country lanes.
The race attracts thousands of runners and spectators who line the streets. The event supports The Robin Cancer Trust and its work in cancer awareness, education and support for young people affected by testicular, ovarian and germ cell cancers. Free charity places are available subject to a minimum fundraising requirement of £150.
Event materials note practical details such as entry information, race-day information, parking and facilities, timing and photographs, and road closures and route information. Official Colchester Half Marathon shirts are available to order before race day. A team of volunteers helps to deliver the event, and photography from the previous year is offered through an event gallery.
The presentation of the race emphasises community involvement and charity fundraising while providing standard event services such as timing and race photos. Published information highlights the date, route, distance, charity partnership and volunteer support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
