Chelmsford Race Weekend
Chelmsford Race Weekend comprises closed-road running events that use routes including Parkway, Essex Yeomanry Way and Chelmer Village Way. The course starts in Chelmsford city centre and finishes on the Anglia Ruskin University campus, passing several local landmarks. Major road closures are in place to create a traffic-free course.
The event includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Organiser information and participant resources include route maps, a participant tracking map, a race day guide, road closure information, published results and race photos. The event references arrangements for wheelchair and buggy runners and lists volunteer opportunities and event suppliers.
Anglia Ruskin University is named as the headline partner. The event also includes a charity element described as aiming to make a local difference.
The Route
Starting in Chelmsford city centre and finishing on the iconic campus of Anglia Ruskin University, the course route is on closed roads, passing some of the major landmarks in Chelmsford. Major road closures will be in place for a traffic free course.
