Ridley Round
The Ridley Round is a trail race taking place at The Compasses, Littley Green, organized with assistance from Essex Trail Events. The event holds TRA Permit 8557.
Route: Approximately a half marathon in length, the trail winds through beautiful rural countryside, following parts of the Essex Way and the Chelmer Valley, visiting several former Ridley's pubs. The race starts and finishes at The Compasses.
Navigation: This is a self-navigation trail race. Participants will receive a written route description on the day. There are no course markings, no marshals, and no GPX file provided.
Start/Finish: Race HQ is located outside the pub at a gazebo. The event uses staggered starts and staggered finishes, not a mass start. Runners will be timed out and back in at the finish.
Eligibility: All entrants must be over 17 years old. Dogs are not permitted.
Pricing:
- Affiliated runners: £8.00 + £0.50 booking fee.
- Non-affiliated runners: £2.00 UKA levy (of which £1.50 is allocated to charities).
- Includes a £2 voucher to spend at The Compasses on the day.

- No refunds or transfers.
- Absolutely no entries on the day.
- All profits go to Crohn's & Colitis UK.
- Confirmation of entry will be sent by email.
- Results will be posted on www.essextrailevents.com.
