Carolina Reaper Challenge (50k - 13.1 - 10k & Relay)
The Carolina Reaper Challenge is an endurance running race offering various distances: 50k, half marathon (13.1 miles), 10k, and a relay. This challenging event takes place at the Riverwest Nature Preserve in Greenville, South Carolina. Participants will navigate a 2.62-mile loop, testing their endurance against the heat and time constraints.
Included in Registration: Finisher medal, custom race bib, custom race tattoo, event-themed giveaways, race sticker, complimentary race photos, music & post-race hangout, chip timing with lap splits and live results, and a wildly charged hydration sample and custom collapsible hydration cup.
Race Day Details:
- When: All event distances start at 8:00am EDT; packet pickup begins at 7:00am EDT.
- Where: Riverwest Nature Preserve, 2959 New Easley Hwy, Greenville, SC 29611 US
- Parking: Park in the old driving range area, approximately 150 meters from the Start/Finish line. A designated drop-off zone is available near the staging area.
- Course: A paved 2.6-mile loop on an old golf course with plenty of shade.
- Loop Schedule: The bell rings every 45 minutes. Each lap must be completed within 45 minutes.
- Aid Stations: Located at the start/finish line, offering water, coke, ginger ale, pickles, cookies, chips, and pretzels. This is a cup-less event; bring your own hydration vessel.
Race Distances:
- 50k: 12 Loops
- Relay: 12 Loops (teams of 2-4 runners)
- Half Marathon: 5 Loops
- 5 Mile: 2 Loops
Awards: Top 3 overall (male & female) receive trophies. Age group awards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) for each distance.
