Aberavon Surf Lifesaving Club Junior Aquathlon
Aberavon Surf Lifesaving Club, in conjunction with Port Talbot Harriers and Welsh Triathlon, are pleased to welcome you to the next installment of the Aberavon Surf Lifesaving Club Junior Aquathlon to be held on Saturday 1st August 2026 at Aberavon Beach.
The return of a swim-run event held on Aberavon Beach. Open to age groups from TriStar 2 up to Junior. The event will be a beach start with the swim held in sheltered open water with a raised pier for spectators. The run element is a flat coastal run.
The event distances are
- TriStar 2/3 (Ages 11-14) will have a 300m swim followed by a 1200m run
- Youth A/B & Junior (Ages 15-19) will have a 600m swim followerd by a 2000m run
The event is running alongside the GV 70.tri middle distance triathlon and Teleri Tens Mini Miler event, therefore there is something available to all ages and abilities on the day. Parking (both free and paid) is available nearby along with toilet facilities and refreshments.
Timeline of the day will be
- 0800 - Registration
- 0900 - Race Briefing
- 0925 - Race Start
