GV 70.tri 2026
Port Talbot Harriers organise the 2026 edition of the GV70.tri, a middle-distance triathlon held in Port Talbot. The event is described as welcoming and aimed at athletes trying a longer distance for the first time. The venue is Aberavon Green Stars RFC, Port Talbot.
The triathlon course comprises a two-lap sea swim, a two-lap bike course and a pancake flat three-lap run. A relay option is available and participants may choose how much of the course to complete as there will be no DNFs. Cut off times are set to protect marshals and for participant safety: swim 1 hr 10, swim and bike 5 hrs, finish time cut off 7 hrs 45 mins. Organisers may remove participants from the course if they are considered to be struggling. All profits will be donated to local charities and good causes in Neath Port Talbot.
The Teleri Mia Mini Mile supports families affected by the loss of a child from the moment of conception. Entry is £10 per child and all proceeds go to the Teleri Mia Foundation. Small participant items will be provided where possible and support can be arranged for children with financial need.
Aberavon Surf Lifesaving Club Junior Aquathlon runs alongside the main event. It uses a beach start with a sheltered open water swim and a flat coastal run. Parking, toilet facilities and refreshments are available nearby.

- Teleri Mia Foel: 800m one lap around Little Warren playing fields
- Teleri Mia Afan: two laps of Little Warren playing fields, age 10 to 11
- Junior Aquathlon TriStar 2/3: 300m swim and 1200m run
- Junior Aquathlon Youth A/B and Junior: 600m swim and 2000m run
