The 10 km de l’Université Laval, presented by Décathlon, is the second oldest race organized in Quebec and the oldest sporting event at Université Laval. Known for attracting a fast field, this race is the perfect place to surpass yourself! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or seasoned runner, you will find your stride with events of 800 m, 1.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. The 800 m and 1.5 km distances are open to all, with trophies awarded to the top 3 finishers in the following categories: 800 m (8 years and under), 1.5 km (12 years and under).
Organized by Rouge et Or Athlétisme, this sporting event aims to promote a healthy and active lifestyle within the community. It's an opportunity for runners to push their limits, achieve personal challenges, and share an enriching sporting experience in a competitive and performance-oriented atmosphere.
Parking Information:
Parking at the PEPS de l'Université Laval will be paid starting September 1st, with a maximum of $5.20 for the day. Public transport or carpooling is highly encouraged. Avoid using Rue de la Terrasse and Avenue du Séminaire as these streets will be closed for the event. The ideal route by car is via Autoroute Robert-Bourassa South, taking the Université Laval exit.

2026 Rates – General Public and Alumni
- Until March 31: 10 KM $37.00, 5 KM $35.00, 800 m & 1.5 km $15.00
- April 1 to July 1: 10 KM $40.00, 5 KM $37.00, 800 m & 1.5 km $16.00
- July 2 to September 15: 10 KM $45.00, 5 KM $40.00, 800 m & 1.5 km $17.00
- September 16, 17, 20, 21: 10 KM $50.00, 5 KM $45.00, 800 m & 1.5 km $20.00
Student Rate (ULaval students only)
- Until September 15: 10 KM $40.00, 5 KM $32.00
- On site: 10 KM $45.00, 5 KM $37.00
Bib Pickup:
Friday, September 18, from 3 PM to 7 PM at PEPS de l'Université Laval. On Saturday, September 19, bibs can be picked up at the athletics track near the start line.
Medals:
Each participant will receive a wooden medal made in Quebec. It is possible to refuse the medal during registration to reduce waste.
Schedule:
Sunday, September 21
- 7:30 AM: Site opens
- 9:00 AM: 10 km start
- 10:00 AM: 10 km awards
- 10:30 AM: 5 km start
- 11:15 AM: 800 m start
- 11:30 AM: 1.5 km start
- 11:45 AM: 5 km, 800 m, and 1.5 km awards
Refund Policy:
Registration is transferable, refundable (minus transaction fees), or modifiable up to 30 days before the event. After this date, changes to a shorter distance will not be refunded, and changes to a longer distance will incur an additional charge. Use Race Roster for modification requests.
Medical Support:
An emergency medical plan is in place, with a vehicle provided by the PEPS Clinic and a first-aid station near the start.
Traffic Regulations:
Streets will be closed to traffic during the event. Official timing is based on 'Gun Time' as per Athletics Canada and World Athletics standards.
Sanction:
Sanctioned by Athlétisme Québec.
Changing Rooms:
PEPS changing rooms are available for changing and showering. Bring your own lock and towel. Your bib serves as a pass to access the changing rooms.
Minimum Age:
Suggested maximum distances based on child development and FQA standards: 0-7 years: 1 km, 8-11 years: 2 km, 12-13 years: 3 km, 14-15 years: 5 km, 16-17 years: 10 km.
