Wirral 10K
The Wirral 10K is a road running event covering 10 km with the start and finish area located on Ian Fraser Walk on Coastal Drive in New Brighton. The course is an out and back along the waterfront to Seacombe Ferry Terminal, where runners perform a U turn before returning to New Brighton. The halfway point is just before the Seacombe Ferry Terminal.
The route is generally flat and described as fast. Runners will pass waterfront views and can see the Liverpool city skyline on the outward leg.
Entrants must be 15 years or over and the 10K is capped at 750 participants. Race packs are sent approximately three weeks before the event. Race number information will be provided closer to the date. Participants with a postal address outside mainland UK can collect their race number from the enquiry tent on race morning and will receive an email with arrangements prior to the event.
Included with entry are chip timing, a finisher goody bag, a finisher T shirt and an exclusive medal. Race results are normally available shortly after the event; competitors who supplied a mobile number may receive a text alert with their time and results are published online.
On race day access to the start and finish area is via Harrison Drive and the A554 as parts of New Brighton are closed to traffic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Entries outside the UK
If you are taking part and have a postal address outside mainland UK then you can collect your race number from the enquiry tent on race morning. You will be emailed directly about this prior to the race date.
Route
The start and finish area is situated on Ian Fraser Walk, New Brighton and the course takes in one of the flattest terrains you will find as it heads toward the 5K point. The race will start and finish on Coastal Drive at 9.30am and head out along the waterfront as far as the Seacombe Ferry Terminal, where runners will perform a U-turn and head back toward New Brighton. On the way out you will get the best view of the Liverpool city skyline there is, with the half way point just before the Seacombe Ferry terminal. Travel
The start and finish area can be found on Coastal Drive in New Brighton and on the day traffic is required to access the event area via Harrison Drive as the south end of New Brighton is closed to traffic on race day. FROM THE M53, JUNCTION 1 follow the A554 road towards New Brighton. At the roundabout junction where the A554 merges with Harrison Drive take the first exit towards the river front. At the next roundabout take a right hand turn on to Coastal Drive where race day parking will be available. The start and finish area is just after the car parking area.

When will the results be available?
Race results are normally available shortly after the completion of the event. If you have supplied your mobile telephone number as part of the entry process then you will normally receive a text alert with your race time shortly after the conclusion of the event. Can I wear an iPod or music player?
In accordance with the UKA rules it is suggested that listening devices are not used during the race. BTR Limited can only advise that not wearing listening devices is in the interest of your personal safety. It is at your discretion should you choose to ignore this instruction.
Where is the race start?
The start and finish area is located on Coastal Drive in New Brighton. Access on race day is from the north end via the A554 / Harrison Drive as roads approaching the south end of New Brighton (from Wallasey) are closed on race day.
Is there an age limit?
The age limit for entering the 10K is 15 years on race day.
Is the a limit on entry numbers?
There will be a cap of 750 in the 10K.

Unfortunately not. BTR Liverpool Limited operates a no refund, deferral or entry transfer policy. The terms and conditions of entry are listed on the web site at the point of online entry.
