White Horse Half Marathon
The White Horse Half Marathon is a road race held in the Vale of the White Horse, Oxfordshire. The event uses a level rural course that starts and finishes in Grove and runs along quiet country lanes through the villages of Denchworth, Lyford and Charney Bassett. The race distance is a half marathon and the event is chip timed.
The race format and course layout have been largely unchanged in recent years and remained much the same for the 2026 edition, which took place on Sunday 29 March. A provisional date for the 2027 race is Sunday 4 April. Maps, a GPX file of the route and pre-event information are provided to entrants before the event. Medical and anti-doping requirements and incident reporting procedures are published for the race.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel, delay, modify or postpone the event for reasons outside their reasonable control and may retain all or part of registration fees in such cases. Refunds are not issued to entrants who cannot attend; transfers to another runner may be considered if the event is at capacity, but transfers are not possible within two weeks of the race. The event is supported by local businesses and relies on volunteer marshals and helpers for marshalling and other duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
