UpRiver Running Fall Races
UpRiver Running Fall Races is a trail event held in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It includes multiple distances and a separate kids trail run. Most of the courses follow single track through local trail networks and conservation areas.

All races start and finish at Kinsmen Park in Trowbridge. The 25 km is a single loop with two out-and-back sections and about 370 m of climbing. The 50 km consists of two 25 km loops and is described as a technical route with rolling terrain. The 10 km is a single loop that travels through Shuniah Mines trails.
There are aid stations at locations such as the Balsam Access Trail Head, Cascades Conservation Area, and Kinsmen Park offering water, Tailwind mix, fruit gels, and snacks. The event is chip timed and all participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the first finisher in each age division for the 10 km, 25 km, and 50 km events; age divisions include 39 and under, 40+ Masters, and 50+ Grand Masters. The kids 2.5 km also includes a finisher medal.
Other event details include a free shuttle to and from the Current River Community Centre. The race is cupless, so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Optional T-shirts and vegan burritos are available for purchase by September 20, 2026. Race entries are non-refundable. Bibs are transferable until the registration deadline of September 20, 2026. Youth 17 and under may register in any distance for $40 USD or CAD.

Course Details:
- 10Km: Single loop course from Kinsmen Park into Shuniah Mines and back.
- 25Km: Single loop course (with two out-back sections) of mostly single-track with some double track. Takes runners through Shuniah mines trails, Cascades Conservation Area, Centennial park and some on Trowbridge Park trails. Approximately 370m / 1200ft of climbing. Aid stations at Balsam Access Trail Head (approx. 7.3 Km mark) and Cascades Conservation Area (approx. 14.3 Km).
- 50Km: Two 25Km loops.
