The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001. This event in Swansboro aims to honor all those who lost their lives on 9/11 and support first responders and military personnel. The event includes a 5K run/walk open to people of all ages and abilities.
Event Details
This will be the 4th year in Swansboro, and we are excited to bring our community together once again to HONOR our Military & First Responders, REMEMBER 9/11, and raise funds to DO GOOD through the Tunnel to Towers programs.
Course Information
The event features multiple courses with varying registration prices. The courses include Adult Registration, First Responders & Military Registration, Youth Registration 13 to 17 yrs, and Child Registration 12 & Under, all covering a distance of 5K.
Registration and Packet Pickup
Online registration will stay open until 07:30 the morning of the event, with on-site registration also available. Packet pickup details will be announced soon.
Additional Information
Participants are encouraged to wear their bib numbers on the front of their outermost garment to ensure accurate timing. Awards will be given to the fastest finishers in various categories, and water stations will be available along the route. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted on the course.
