The Sparkasse Passau TRIATHLON NIEDERBAYERN 2026 in Pocking is entering its third edition – and for the first time in 2026, it will host the Bavarian Championship for the middle distance!
Experience an unforgettable middle-distance triathlon in Niederbayern – with additional short and sprint distances for every performance level. Be there as an individual starter or with a relay team to celebrate the most beautiful day of the year together!
After the great comeback in 2025, it was clear: the TRIATHLON NIEDERBAYERN is here to stay. What once began as an idea – a triathlon from Niederbayern for Niederbayern – has quickly become a real highlight in the Bavarian triathlon calendar. In 2026, we will write a new chapter: The Sparkasse Passau TRIATHLON NIEDERBAYERN will be the official venue for the Bavarian Championships for age groups on the middle distance – and thus the center of Bavarian triathlon sport. A special honor, but also a great motivation for us as an organizing team to offer you a race worthy of a championship – emotional, fair, optimally organized, and unforgettable. With the great team spirit from the previous year, the many positive feedbacks, and the support of our partners, we will give everything in 2026 to make "the most beautiful day of the year" even more beautiful: with more atmosphere on the course, more goosebumps at the finish line, more emotions – and in 2026, hopefully, with the best triathlon weather that Niederbayern has to offer.
And as if that weren't enough: We are likely to host the first Niederbayerische Championship on the middle distance in 2026 – a historic moment for triathlon sport in our region. A huge thank you goes to all the helpers, supporters, clubs, and sponsors who make this event possible. And of course, to you – the athletes, who fill this day with life. Bavarian and Niederbayerische Championships
Bavarian Championship (Age Groups Male/Female) on the Middle Distance
The Sparkasse Passau TRIATHLON NIEDERBAYERN 2026 is the official venue for the Bavarian Championships of the age groups (m/w) on the middle distance – a sporting highlight that we are delighted to bring to Niederbayern.
Eligible to participate are all athletes who:
- Possess a valid DTU license
- Belong to a club of the Bavarian Triathlon Association e. V. (BTV).
The license must start with the identifier "02". Furthermore, you can only start for the club listed on the license. Please ensure the correct entry of your license number during registration. If the valid license is not yet available at the time of registration, the number can be added later via your personal SPOFERAN account by the registration deadline.
Provisional Niederbayerische Championship on the Middle Distance
In addition to the Bavarian Championship, a first Niederbayerische Championship on the middle distance is planned – subject to the final decision of the district.
Eligible to participate are exclusively athletes who:
- Belong to a Niederbayern club and
- Have a valid DTU license on the day of the event.

To participate in one or both championships, the respective championship option must be explicitly selected during registration. The valid license number must be provided.
