The site is a Forestry England location with a café and toilets. Parking is charged on site. The number 33 bus serves Salcey Forest and the nearest mainline station is Northampton. The course is heavily marked and GPX files are provided as a backup.
This is a cupless event so aid stations do not provide paper or plastic cups; participants should carry a cup or bottle if they need liquids. Dogs are not permitted under the event license. Crew are allowed but pacers are not permitted to run alongside participants except in the final 100 metres.
Mandatory kit differs by distance. For half marathon, marathon and 50K a cup or bottle holding at least 200 ml is mandatory. A foil blanket and a charged mobile phone are strongly advised. Missing mandatory items incurs a time penalty. Finishers receive a medal and a choice of Big Bear drink. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
