The Route
The complete route starts from the Sacello della Madonna di Valle Santa Felicita and takes the CAI 100 trail, narrow and steep. Through woods, mule tracks and continuous ups and downs, you reach Campo Croce, where the path opens up among meadows and increasingly wide panoramas. The climb leads to Cima Grappa, the symbolic heart of the race: here, passing by the ossuary, the rhythm gives way to recollection and memory. From here the route (and this is new compared to previous editions) descends back towards the Sentiero delle Meatte which it follows in its entirety until reaching Cima della Mandria. It then continues along the ridge to Monte Archeset, descends into Val delle Mure and climbs back up the Altavia degli Eroi. From here, through an airy and exciting up and down, you reach the Monti Asoloni: the last uphill sections before the final descent which, in the first, more panoramic section, reaches the Malga Cibara area, then plunges into a suggestive single track in the undergrowth that quickly leads to the entrance of Valle Santa Felicita and the coveted arrival at the Sacello della Madonna.
