Thetford Festival of Running
Back for its 2nd Year - Thetford Festival of Running comes to High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. Join like-minded runners participating in various distances: 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, or Ultra Marathon.
The event features a 5 km loop within Thetford Forest, primarily on pathways with sections of trails and woodland. A water aid station will be available at the lap point. The 'heavy' half marathon is 5 laps by default (option to change to 6 or 7 on the day), and the ultra marathon is 9 laps by default (option to increase up to a time-dependent maximum).
Facilities are based adjacent to Oak Lodge, which serves as the registration point and offers complimentary tea, coffee, and cake upon completion. Parking on the day is discounted to £5 for participants with a QR code. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own cups or bottles.
A bespoke medal will be awarded to all finishers. Participants can also opt for a 'lucky dip' medal from a selection of previous designs. 20% of each entry fee contributes to the upkeep of the forest.
