About the event
The Wild Boar Triathlon 70.3 Middle Distance & Olympic Swim in the beautiful Lake at Mallards Pike in the Forest of Dean. Cycle the undulating route in the heart of the Forest of Dean, Gloucester. Run the undulating off-road trail route, maybe you will see a wild boar, and collect a unique medal & tee shirt. This is a tough event with a very scenic bike route and a trail run route suitable for road shoes.
Event details and schedule
Races will start at 8:30 am (70.3 distance) and 8:45 am (Olympic distance). Registration and transition will be open from 7:00 am - 8:15 am on Sunday, June 21st. The Olympic Distance is a 1500m Swim, 45k Bike, and a 10.5k run. The Wild Boar 70.3 is a 1900m Swim, 90k (2 Lap Bike), and a 21km Run. Aid stations on the bike will be at 45k. Aid Stations on the run will be at every 6 Miles. The bike course is a safe route with some steep hills. Please arrive at registration between 7:00 am and 8:15 am. Briefing will be at 8:20 am. It should be a wetsuit optional swim, but you will be notified if this changes nearer the date. Parking: A small fee to park in Forestry next to the Lake. Please bring your own swim caps and wetsuit.
