The Summer Green Man Ultra
The Summer Mount to Coast Green Man Ultra comes in two formats – the 45 mile distance and the 30 mile distance (fondly known as the Green Boy). Both races are held on the same course on the same day and have the same checkpoints and finish, just with differing start locations.
Both distances for the summer event will run the course in a CLOCKWISE direction. This is different to the winter event. Also different is the start time of 8:00 as opposed to Winters start time of 7:00.
Runners who complete both the summer and winter 45 mile events in the same year will additionally be awarded a prestigious MTC GMU buckle. Four different buckles are available, awarded cumulative running time over both events – Sub 15 hours; sub 18 hours; sub 21 hours; sub 24 hours.
Course Details:
- The Summer MTC Green Man Ultra 45: A full clockwise loop of the Community Forest Path, starting and finishing at Ashton Park School just outside the centre of Bristol.

Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, Ordnance Survey maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, emergency food and a basic first aid kit. Checkpoints have cut off rules that enforce the event time limits and there are designated timelords who provide navigation and pacing support.
