The Sting Backyard Ultra - Richmond Rewind
Are you ready for your next challenge? The Sting Backyard Ultra is an endurance event invented by Gary “Lazarus Lake” Cantrell, brought to North Yorkshire. The concept is simple: participants run a minimum of 6.706 kilometers (4.167 miles) on the hour, every hour, until there is one runner standing.

The Rules:
- The Loop: Each lap, or "yard," is 6.706 kilometers (4.167 miles).
- Hourly Starts: Runners must start a new loop precisely on the hour, every hour.
- No Late Starts: All runners must be in the starting corral when the bell rings to begin the next loop.
- Limited Assistance: Assistance between loops is permitted, but outside of restroom breaks, runners are not permitted to leave the course until the loop is complete.
- Open-Ended Race: The race continues until only one runner remains.
- No Artificial Aids: Trekking poles or other artificial aids are not permitted.
