The Raven 50 Ultra: Whitehorse, Yukon
The Raven50 Ultra is an annual ultramarathon held in Whitehorse, Yukon on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Race day activities take place at the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Stadium adjacent to the Canada Games Centre.
Distances offered include:
- 50 Mile Solo: approximately 80 km, solo event.
- 50 km Solo: shorter solo distance.
- 50 Mile Relay: two person team event, exchange near the midpoint.
- 50 km Relay: team relay covering 50 km.
- 10 km Run: open to youth and adults.
- 5 km Run: open to youth and adults.
- 2.5 km Run: open to all.
The full course includes over 3,000 meters of elevation gain, multiple ridges and peaks, water crossings, and a mix of single-track trails, quad roads, and switchbacks. Seven aid stations provide food and assistance, and full facilities are available at the start and finish.
The day before the race includes a mandatory pre-race check-in, bag drop, and orientation with a bear safety briefing and an opening prayer. Organizers provide complimentary entry for Indigenous runners and work with the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and local partners. The day concludes with a meal, a beer garden, and games for children.
