The Doomsday Run - Charborough Estate
The Doomsday Run takes place on 29 November 2026 at Charborough Estate, Bere Wood, Bere Regis. The event uses a private ancient woodland of roughly 600 acres where access has been granted for this trail event. GPX files will be issued to participants before the event.
Distances:
- 10 km single loop
- 21 km double loop (half marathon)
- Half marathon relay two runners, each completing a single loop
The route is described as raw and varied. Runners should expect dense woodland, low light, coarse underfoot, roots, ruts and seasonal mud. Surfaces include woodland tracks and uneven, rooted sections. The course will be marked and there are no road crossings or gates on the route.
Race HQ is a covered base with space to gather, toilets, hot and cold drinks, first aid and feminine hygiene products. There is one aid station on the loop and medical support will be available on route. Toilets are provided at the start and finish area.
A small mandatory kit list is enforced; required items include a mobile phone and a reusable cup. Trail shoes are recommended for running in dense forest. The minimum age is 18. Entries are non refundable; optional refund cover is managed by a third party. Transfers and name changes follow the event's formal ticketing process. Race HQ
Arrive, gather yourself, and question your decisions before heading into the forest. A covered base to settle in. There’s space to stand around, talk, eat and drink. Once you’ve made it back out. It’s a place to sit, recover, and compare stories from the trees.

FAQ
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes the 10km event whilst challenging is suitable for beginners with 2 ½ hours to complete the loop. The event is run in November so please ensure you bring adequate clothing to stay warm.
What equipment is required to run in dense forests?
Due to the terrain and time of year we recommend you run in trail shoes.
Can I change distance on the day?
Yes, you can change distance at registration, if increasing distance to half marathon or relay an additional fee will be payable. Refunds are not given if you change from the half marathon or relay to the 10km.
Is there a cut-off time?
Yes, but cut-offs are generous and designed to support a positive experience.
How many Aid Stations are there?
There is 1 aid station.
Dietary?
Expect proper fuelling options all day, including vegan friendly and gluten free choices. If you have any specific requirements, please drop us an email well in advance of race day and we’ll try to cater.
